Really cool Craftsman. Don’t see many of the old Craftsman knives in this thread.
Well how were the eggs and pancakes?Gonna be a somewhat laid back day. Light showers are possible this afternoon. Staying home but tomorrow we're going to town and the Wagon Wheel Cafe for sure. "Burning Man" people will be coming through Alturas and they like to stop at the Wagon Wheel as they spread North and West to the Pacific Northwest. They're usually covered with the white, alkaline, dust of the desert but this year, they're going to be muddy as all get out. It'll be a sight to see. I'm carrying this Lambfoot today which was a thoughtful gift from Dansf fanatic . It's a bit unusual as it has a long bolster. Anyway, I'm a bit better today and am going to attempt to eat one of Cindy's soft, fluffy, pancakes and scrambled eggs. Thanks to all who passed on get well wishes yesterday.

Ed, I’m inclined to go with the description from the Famous Sheffield Shop. Jane whose the manager calls it a barlow…so I’m not going to argue with this fine lady.Gonna be a somewhat laid back day. Distinguished dark duo, JJ!![]()
Thank you very much Gary, x 2!!! The Stone is around 3 3/4" closed, but the blade is both beefy and ground to a scalpel edge!Fascinating handles on that pair, JJ!How big is the top knife? It looks very hefty!
Nice work KevinHI Mike. I modded that RR080 by grinding the spay blade into a punch. Here's a pic of the other side.

No, my clavicle is still out of place at the front, so I hope it doesn't recur. Not the rotator cuff I don't think, but they just told me it was a soft-tissue injury at the hospital, which is pretty vague, and not very helpfulThat's certainly not an injury you'd predict, Jack!I hope it's relatively minor, and not something like a rotator cuff "explosion" (something of which I live in constant fear
).
Thanks again my friendThanks, Jack; those Cannon knives are much better knives than I was expecting.
Your bone WCLF is also a much better CAKE knife than I was expecting!![]()

One pot hot, one pot not.
The spicier batch got black beans and corn.
Jane is a very fine lady, but nobody who has ever worked at that shop has ever known as much about knives as the average new poster on BF. No doubt that piece of misinformation comes from the manufacturer, who until I had my Hartshead Barlow SFOs made, thought a Barlow was a short-bolstered Clip-point Jack. If they extended the bolster, they'd have to shell out for more nickel silver. That shop does sell genuine Barlows, but they're made by TEW, not by Wright'sEd, I’m inclined to go with the description from the Famous Sheffield Shop.
