@Amir Fleschwund is right. Delrin for the working knife. I don't feel bad setting this down on the concrete, or in the engine bay. Thanks again for the TL Jeff, it's found a home in my most-used toolbox, the "nationalist" box with exclusively American tools ;)

Many thanks to @Jakeywax31 for heeding my desperate call for a '16 BF HJ. It is every bit as useful a tool as I imagined (had a couple years to anticipate here), went right into service. It is a much better scribe than the one bought for that purpose, probably because of the higher HRC and *wicked* edge on that punch. We really hit it off, carried this three days in a row, unusual for me.

This is what I've been busy with, had about 10 of these repairs to do in some mahogany tables I'm finishing up for a friend's coffeeshop. Also, had no idea how to do a bowtie repair, so had to teach myself. The first attempt was pretty fugly, and will not be shown on the interwebs. Here is #6 and 7.

Westinghouse natty micarta. Had to try it. Works better than the wood ones, methinks. Knife makers aren't kidding when they say to cut/sand micarta outside - this stuff stunk up my parent's entire house something awful when I went over to use Dad's Jet bandsaw.

On a side note, if any Porchsters are ever cruising through KC, top-notch coffee/espresso is on me (working for credit at that coffeeshop)!
Thus concludes my Monday wall of knives. Let's make it a good week, eh?
Very cool project you did, FC. I really like the Micarta one. Looks like you used some vintage stuff. Awesome knives as usual also👍

For reasons not known by I, I started using the SAK can opener, ruther than grab one of the 4 blade "Scout" knives.🙄
Still use the pliers most to hold micromesh infuser to filter tea leaves from nuked tea.
(puttin the leaves direct in the 2 cups water and nuking for 3.5, then stir makes stronger tea.)

Cents I switched back to suspenders, I put the (offshore) Marbles 2 blade folding hunter away. I didn't unsheath or use it the days I carried it anyway...

Mondays be so blahhhhh ... or is it Tuesday ....

I haven’t had much time to spend on here the last several days but did get a chance to fish for a little bit yesterday evening. The irrigation pond is pretty weedy so I went with a weedless frog rather than my fly rod. I think it’s the first time this season I’ve spent more than 15 minutes fishing. I managed to catch a few nice ones. Luckily I had my Krein with me, it makes the fish look bigger 😁 So this is what traditional knife I was toting yesterday.

Nice catch Bart. 👍🏻That BIG Krein is a perfect companion it seems.
