What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Chisel grind (with microbevel?) on a mushroom knife?!?
WHY????🀯😳
Are Euro mushrooms tougher or more "woody" than North/Central/South American mushrooms?
Did the dud who made it got lazy?
Is it a mislableled Grape or a bush/Bonzi Tree pruning knife?

Sad and disgusting. A manufaturer to avoid, for sure. Thankee for the warning. πŸ‘

I'm not sure if microbevel chisel grind shall be on a mushroom knife or not, but from the other photos on internet, it shall exists on both side of the blade, unfortunately, mine has only on the front side.
Maybe because of the dud was lazy, but as in my other thread posted https://www.bladeforums.com/threads...the-knife-how-to-remove-clean-smooth.1948985/, this knife is enough.

By the way, if you don't mind Mr. afishhunter afishhunter , could you explain a little more about the relationship between Chisel grind (with microbevel) and mushroom knife? I mean why the next words are:
Are Euro mushrooms tougher or more "woody" than North/Central/South American mushrooms?

It looks like chisel grind with microbevel is designed for some specific reason or usage?

Just wanted to learn more knowledge about knife.
Thank you.

Not a bad hawkbill beater for $8.

I wonder if Camillus made the Kleins??
No idea.
The Klein is quite a bit smaller, though. I rehandled this one in elk…

When I'm not sure, I always say Camillus. I figure I'll be right 50% of the time. 🀣
That looks great. I should pick up another one and give re-handling a try.
I have Camillus that looks like yours - great little knife.

Nice Rachel πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
Thanks!
They did Rachel, you sent me one! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Chisel grind is a single bevel; stronger/more durable (supposedly) than a bevel on both sides of the blade, since it is thicker behind the edge.
As far as I know (admittedly that means less than squat/nada), a chisel grind usually does not have a microbevel.
Also, a 15 to 20 dregree single bevel is "sharper" than two 15 to 20 degree bevels, which is a 30 to 40 degree inclusive cutting angle.
