What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The strings on that bass are pretty thin, or is it just the lighting?

🤣🤣🤣😉

The need for a bass player (and subsequently a drummer) is what got me to pick up those two instruments and learn to play them.

Don’t you know what saltwater does to carbon steel? 😳😳😳🤣🤣🤣
Yup. Guitar “players” are a dime a dozen. We fight over bass players.
What do you call a drummer whose girlfriend broke up with him?

Homeless.😎
I'm not sure if microbevel chisel grind shall be on a mushroom knife or not, but from the other photos on internet, it shall exists on both side of the blade, unfortunately, mine has only on the front side.
Maybe because of the dud was lazy, but as in my other thread posted https://www.bladeforums.com/threads...the-knife-how-to-remove-clean-smooth.1948985/, this knife is enough.

By the way, if you don't mind Mr. afishhunter afishhunter , could you explain a little more about the relationship between Chisel grind (with microbevel) and mushroom knife? I mean why the next words are:
Are Euro mushrooms tougher or more "woody" than North/Central/South American mushrooms?

It looks like chisel grind with microbevel is designed for some specific reason or usage?

Just wanted to learn more knowledge about knife.
Thank you.
Already answered…
Chisel grind is sharpened/beveled on one side only. The other is totally flat. Like a wood chisel.

It’s perfect for scribing a line on wood, with the flat side against a rule. Also for pruning live plants.
It seems to be Todd. I'm bionic like many others here now.
Did you ask for 1095 carbon steel?

Best wishes, Bob!

mebby I should add a clasp to the OEM sheath so I don't lose the "good luck"(?) and "blessings"(?) runes? 🤔🙄

Have a great weekend, please.

Here in Missouri we have to get automotive safety inspections every two years for cars over 10 years old, or over 150,000 miles. My twelve year old car got its first inspection this morning. It passed. I thought it would, but still...Yay 😃:thumbsup:

Playing poker this afternoon as one of the guys couldn't play tomorrow. I love 😍 the flexibility allowed by retirement. I did a Walmart run while I was in town getting the inspection. Cancer screenings, car inspections, Walmart, poker, pool tomorrow...my social calendar runneth over 😂

Took my avatar knife to town today. Y'all have a good one

Love the Red Trout! Wish I would’ve had the foresight to pick up a couple of those (or even just one) back when they were available. Especially a sheepsfoot one. Oh well.

Good to hear your car was deemed roadworthy! 😁

Snapped the 5OT and Sportsman's photo before heading out. Everyone's carries are great.

Great no-nonsense pair right there.

Nice couple of BF knives there, Jeff.

Have a great weekend everyone :) Carrying a German inter-war Lambsfoot today, and a French Alpin today

Have a nice day :)

Good looking knife! At first I was thinking it was a #23, but I didn’t recognize the wood/shield combination. Now I’m thinking #73 in Osage Orange?

Lambfoot and Conductor for the days carry.

Fancy pair, Paul! 🙂

Thanks everyone, my wife Nanc says my knives match far better than the clothes I pick out ;) :) pretty much Navy blue T shirts and blue jeans😁

🤣🤣

Hey, wearing basically the same thing every day really takes the guess work out of it, big time-saver. 😁

Today I drove my daughter across the border to Syracuse, NY where she had a follow up assessment by the surgeon that operated on her injured knee.

She had an unfortunate knee ligament injury while working at camp in Saranac Lake NY.

Good news is that she will make a full recovery with physiotherapy in about 9 months

I was very impressed by the medical facility and by the orthopaedic surgeon. He is one of the best in North America.

On our way back home we stopped at Burger King and I put my BF knife to work on a double whopper NO BUN keto burger 😊

Nice pic. I’m usually pretty good a recognizing bass guitars, but between this pic and the one in the Guardians thread, I still can’t quite place this one. Looks good, though!

Some unusual Wednesday wood. :)

Interesting pattern and some good looking wood.

15 and 78 today while over seeing my dad at the memory care facility. We watch a great episode of Rawhide that kept us glued to the tube.

That sounds nice, Paul. 🙂

Come on, Jeff, everyone knows you just hand the bass to your worst guitar player. 😉🤣

Just kidding, of course. 🙂

Rainy day carry (old pics because it’s dark and gloomy).

Picked up this battered CV 1-dot 6231 1/2 awhile back. Great solid knife to carry around the homestead today. It was a productive trip to town yesterday. We bought two twelve packs of Scot's Septic Safe toilet paper and a few bottles of hand sanitizer. What with the resurgence of the new strain of Covid ya never know. ?????? for breakfast.
