What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Well...in my case it's a Queen thing. Two DB Barlows, #49 and that Executive Jack. But I also have had other brands that the springs broke. They just break. All of mine broke sitting in storage.
Hmm.. no bueno. Thanks for the heads-up! I didn't know this was an issue. That could certainly create a bit of disappointment. I assume it could be repaired in the right hands if it's deemed to be a knife worth the effort. 🤷‍♂️

Been burning the candle at both ends for about a month now. While Veterans Day isn’t until tomorrow, I’ll be on the road (again) so I’m posting my weekend carry today. Thanks to all of those that have worn the uniform.

Glennbad has fixed mine by using springs from other knives. Backspring making is a little bit more.

We were going to go to town to mail a package and have breakfast at the Wagon Wheel Cafe but then it dawned on me that the Post Office was closed for Veterans Day so we'll just stay home for a quiet day. That will only require a simple but capable knife - Case CV Sod Buster Jr. Mashed sausage patties and pancakes for breakfast.

Happy Birthday to the Marine Corps !!!!!
I got fooled too. I had a letter I was going to mail today and held off because I thought there would be no mail delivery today. Then the mail was delivered. I think tomorrow is the day for no mail. Seeing as tomorrow is actually Veterans Day I guess that's appropriate. The banks in town were open also, much to my surprise. State offices were closed today. Normally everything's closed on the same day.

No knife picture today, just a Happy Veteran’s Day wish to all who served or had/have family members that have served or are serving. A single day and a simple thank you hardly seems enough to recognize the importance of what you’ve done. A grateful nation thanks you for your service and your family’s sacrifice. 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸

Have a great weekend everyone.

Hang it proudly on your wall, Mike!

Along with all of your other honoraria, diplomas, and certificates of achievement.

Not the knife, the certificate!
Backing up some things today and carrying this old guy.

Fantastic knives gentlemen. 😎👍

Thanks, Rick. Being retired, I'm terribly out of date (despite continuing education), and don't use it anymore, but I worked so damned hard to get it I've been reluctant to let it go
I was first licensed in 1989 and I still feel a little tingle when I get a new one in the mail :)
Mike, I would not give it up. From what I know from some electrical PE's the test is grueling. It is certainly something to be proud of
