Couple of captivating classics, Randy!

Thanks for the info, Jeff.

You might find this interesting. It's a link to pdf with Camillus production numbers for knives delivered to Armed Forces 1941-1946:
http://www.collectors-of-camillus.us/History/Camillus-Military-1941-1945s.pdf
• also contains diagrams and notes regarding all the knives sent to military, and mentions what other companies were making similar knives for the various armed services.
Yeah, I think the Peanut is 2 7/8" and the Pen is 3 3/8", so 1/2" difference. I knew the Pen Knife was bigger, but hadn't realized it was that much bigger.
Cool pic of that classic Case Canoe!

Very nice box for your knives, and lots of appealing canoes!

What is the red one in the lower right of the top drawer?
I searched for threads with titles containing "canoe" and got 8 pages worth of threads, some with only a couple of posts, some with lots of posts (and the older ones often have lots of missing images). I'd be thrilled to see a Case chestnut jigged bone canoe some day!

Very pretty pair of wood knives, Bob!

(And I'm a fan of Killian's Red, too.

)
Walnut Wednesday is wonderful, Steve!

Couple of charming barlows, Todd, featuring desirable blades!

(I'd probably prefer a single knife having both spear and lamb blades, but that's just the way I was raised.

)
W

W! Beautiful is right!

$3 seems WAY underpriced for that trio!

That's a splendid stockman: slender, round bolsters, low-riding sheepsfoot, wood-brass combo!

I have an All-Stripes sowbelly stockman like that; like it a lot!

Thanks, Todd; I agree with you.

(But the guy in the canoe on the blade etch thinks the patina is a threatening thundercloud rolling up on him!

)
Golden Stockman fills your eyes; smiles await you when you rise!

Didn't know that.
Thanks for the tip, Chris; I'll check into that.

Gotta admit that I'm not much of a clip point fan; a big draw for me with the 5OT is the drop point blade.
Well said, Rachel!

Thanks for the kind words, Steve.

I loaded the car this morning with over 100 pounds of "equipment" for her to take to one of her craft classes for today and tomorrow. (Since I had to load her biggest machine - 50+ pounds I'd guess - it must be an embroidery class of some kind.)
Thanks for the confirmation, Jer.

Thanks for the compliments on my canoes, Jack.

I have to admit that the fake stag on the Chinese Uncle Henry doesn't have the élan of the old Staglon.
Thanks for your thoughtful concern for my wife, and for the interesting link concerning the "muddy" origins of "Billy-o"!

I put in bold the only part of this post I could understand; the rest seems like secret knowledge communicated between a pair of wizards!

That's a supercool old Hammer Brand cattle knife!

Cool! Can you share a photo of your first chess set?
