Thanks kindly Pat.Good luck with the baby!
My wife does the same thing, then she’ll offer helpful suggestions on the photo showing a little more interest in it than she will ever admit.![]()
I dig that spear point with the punchone of these after. I clean them up.
Thanks Jeff, it's an old akubra outback club model that was made for country singer Lee Kernigan.Hey Mr. Vince, I don’t know if this was a spontaneous, unplanned snapshot, or a carefully planned out photographic effort, but it’s a great photo, with nice use of light.
I’ll assume it was pure skill.
Speaking of nice shots…
That sun looks like some weather is coming.
Nice Stiletto, even more nicer being a gift from a friend.
I figure you sharpen it with crock sticks?
Or the bottom of my coffee cups.
You have some nice gentlmanly accoutremants, Mitchell. Dig this hat.
I have a bunch of wide brim hats that I wear, partially due to having had a little basal cell carcinoma before, and partially just cuz I like them.
Around here, 99.9999% of guys wear some form of baseball cap, and I have a bunch of those as well, but I think those guys just conform to the norm, and are secretly jealous of my manly style.
Or not.
Most of my leaves, as well as many bags kindly donated by a townie friend, and the leaves I cleaned up from my neighbor, are safely corralled in fencing bins to break down into leaf mold and compost. But I’ve been waiting for three Norway Maples that have been holding on. This morning, I ser they’re finally dropping.
Speaking of big airports, ever been to Denver International? You have to board a train to get from the gates to the baggage claim.
Enjoy that open water while you can!
Thanks, Bart!
Opinels will cut. Anything.
What model is that?
I have two #10s, one Carbone, and one Stainless, and I was thinking of modding the handle of one similar to yours to slim it down.
Nice Grohmanns, Dan.
And I admire your ability to remain still and appear non-threatening!
Wow! Very lean, and extra thick cut bacon!
I’d drive a few extra miles for that bacon
It is a beautiful time of year!
And thank YOU for your USAF career, John!
Much respect, Chief.
My step grandfather had the entire set of Louis L’Amour books, all leatherbound. And they’re now in my book collection. Fun reading if you want to escape for awhile.

Don't worry about it Bob my family do it too, the eldest often holds up a butter knife & "you want a photo". Although I have caught the wife arranging the food for a better picture. My wife is mocking my food and knife pictures as she travels to Georgia to see daughter who is expecting.View attachment 2387433View attachment 2387434View attachment 2387435
Nice blades FC. I can see why you are a proud dad. I hope he enjoys his pack and builds many great memories. Funny, yesterday, some friends and I( all in our 70's) were just discussing our experiences![]()
Can't believe I've never paired these two before, my biggest slipjoint and smallest (and sharpest) fixed blade. I'm pretty pleased with myself.

But I'm way more pleased with this guy, who I took to his first Cub Scout meeting today. He took right to it! I've been trying to get him to go, without seeming pushy (kids push back), for about 18 months now. Huge sigh of relief, and I'm all puffed up with Dad-pride.. Looking forward to hopefully years of helping him with merit badges and outings with the troop.
