My wife’s mom came and stayed with us through each of her three births. It’s a mom thing, and a beautiful thing. My wife is mocking my food and knife pictures as she travels to Georgia to see daughter who is expecting.View attachment 2387433View attachment 2387434View attachment 2387435
I sure hope he enjoys Scouts, Fred.![]()
Can't believe I've never paired these two before, my biggest slipjoint and smallest (and sharpest) fixed blade. I'm pretty pleased with myself.

But I'm way more pleased with this guy, who I took to his first Cub Scout meeting today. He took right to it! I've been trying to get him to go, without seeming pushy (kids push back), for about 18 months now. Huge sigh of relief, and I'm all puffed up with Dad-pride.. Looking forward to hopefully years of helping him with merit badges and outings with the troop.
Nice Case Barlow.Staying with the Barlow themeSunday best Case xx 1940/64 in sawcut Appaloosa bone. The build quality on these old knives is exceptional, and puts the modern equivalent to shame …I just don’t understand how they could produce this quality back then , yet today they turn out far inferior quality knives

It is a beautiful site seeing them together in pictures. We may even become part time southerners after Gracie is born.My wife’s mom came and stayed with us through each of her three births. It’s a mom thing, and a beautiful thing.
I intend to, and nuthin’s happened yet.It is a beautiful site seeing them together in pictures. We may even become part time southerners after Gracie is born.
Have a great day Jeff.
You are obviously blessed with a fine family. It does tug at the heart not being able to be close to everyone.I intend to, and nuthin’s happened yet.
Bob, my Best Girl would love to move to Colorado to be close to Josh and Ashley and our two grandchildren. And I would love to move to Georgia or Alabama to be closer to Jason’s girls. That would be more feasible financially. But as it is, we can’t leave N. Illinois while we’re still blessed to have our parents. Have to settle for road trips or the mercies of the airlines for now.
