What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Schatt Saturday here today. A Heritage series in ebony and a small sleeveboard pen knife in jigged bone. I really dig the steel liners and pins, plus what Schatt calls Norway iron bolsters that are on the Heritage knives. The pen knife has brass liners and pins, I guess that's okay too.

Trying to get these two scratched up a bit this weekend.

The Queen has been a regular in the front pocket, even at work. Very nice! The smoko is also very well made and perfectly fits the side pocket rotation.

I swapped scopes on a Ruger 22 rifle and I wanted to go sight it in today. I ended up taking the first handgun I ever bought, an old Ruger single six revolver that I’ve had since I was 18. I also took an old timer with me, not the original one that would’ve tramped around the woods of Wisconsin chasing squirrels, and rabbits with the Single Six or wandered the farm fields in Pennsylvania at the home I rented a room in the Marines. This one was a replacement to my original I lost in the Marines. Grandad gave it to me about 30 years ago or so…

Lambsfoot of the Week is my first lambsfoot, a stag senator pattern that I won in a GAW here (thanks, Richard). Since the knife came to me from Manchester, England, I named it Man Jack.


Miscellaneous Knife of the Week is a Colt buckshot bone teardrop jack that seems "bombproof":

Camillus rope knife in watch pocket, Case trapper in front pocket. I put up Christmas lights, so I put the Buck 110 on my belt. (No need for it, but anytime I get tools out or use a ladder, I put the 110 on my belt.) Now I'm drinking a Coping Mechanism. (The recipe is worth reading for the dark humor even if you don't wanna make the drink.)
