What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

When the pop-top on the dog food can breaks off on a Sunday morning, it's good to know there's a Plan B... :)

You take one Thanksgiving weekend off Blade Forums and you can look forward to spending the rest of the month (and some of the next one) trying to catch up on the totin' thread! I don't have the light for fresh pics at the moment, but I've been carrying these two the last couple days:

Titusville Old Man Jack wearing Chorizo al Vino Tinto covers (they call it Catalina Wine Mixer bone but I don't see it...)

and, a Tuna Valley Phoenix Jack in Green Maple Burl to which I've performed my first successful (in my mind at least) potentially destructive modification to a slipjoint knife - I added an EO notch. This knife had a brutal pull weight compounded by a less than ideally placed nail nick and had damaged my thumbnail on more than one occasion. With the modification, it's an absolute joy to open and use.

I just noticed that both of these pics prominently feature chorizo. I must be on a kick. There're worse vices out there... 🤣
You did it!!! 🙌 YESSS!!! I'm pretty sure we'd all like to see some more pictures of El cheezo de Dorito (the green one).😁

Finally a 14 pattern that I will keep! The Sheepsfoot blade and the Caplifter add just enough size and weight to make it feel like a real knife rather than a toy.

Quite the branding on this Beer Cub. Bill Howard has some imagination, and I believe he has successfully foiled the Boy Scouts!

JW225 JW225 , that must be the world’s most expensive can opener!

Jiki Jiki , beautiful photograph Jim!

Schatt Saturday here today. A Heritage series in ebony and a small sleeveboard pen knife in jigged bone. I really dig the steel liners and pins, plus what Schatt calls Norway iron bolsters that are on the Heritage knives. The pen knife has brass liners and pins, I guess that's okay too. :)

I think you’ve Schatt yourself, good sir

A cloudy start to the day in the City by the Bay! Well it’s laundry and football day as well. Lots of hype about the 49er game and I guess it will tell if they can beat a really good team 🤞. Keeping me company my Sunday finest the Modoc Special and K’roo lambsfoot barlow. Have a peaceful Sunday folks! 😀
