What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Wanted an additional single blade Stockman to compare with a favorite of mine, the Buck 302. So far this Boker compares very favorably. More evaluation needed, so she's in my RFP again today. :)

I cannot figure out the Forum time stamps. So I’m not sure if it reflects the posting time at your location, or some other time zone where BF is headquartered. But wow ~ you got up right after I quit practicing and staggered to bed. I hope you have glow-in-the-dark golf balls!
Nice knives!
Good Morning Porchsters,

been the docs today and all bad news,

blood pressure up
cho;cholesterol up
blood sugar up

plus note is kidney and liver are good.

It reminds of a Management meeting one time when myself and another manager were in a meeting with the area general manager who had just returned to work after a heart attack, my colleague was getting pelters for some reason or another, he looked at the general manager and said "Do you know the problem with your heart attack? It wasn't f....ing serious enough" Oh how we all laughed. :)

so... Back on the diet today.... Keto Breakfast...Carb Free

Knife was still in my pocket from yesterday so didn't feel a need to swap out.
I doesn’t get easier, does it? But gotta do what you can for the ‘ol bod, Wayne.
Yesterday morning, I kind of promised my wife I’d re-start my indoor working out ~ treadmill, weights, etc as soon as it finally gets too cold and snowy to wirk outside. As it is, I have been exhausting myself hauling woodchips and manure, and hauling and splitting logs. I think my splitting mauls gained weight.

I was always unsure what to call a single blade knife on a Srockman frame.
Like our Speyless Buck ‘28 Forum Knife.
I’ll have this one in the pocket today, just in case I need to baton some file folders… 🤣

Always pick the right knife for the job, I say.
I haven’t been desk bound since the late ‘80s, but often think that if I was, I’d get an Office Knife, and stand it up in my paper clip holder next to my stapler!

Two in my pocket, one on my belt.
A three bladed Klein Electrician, and for Woodnesday, my Loewenmesser and Green River. 8AAD8020-9E63-4A38-BC24-0464516ECD54.jpeg9F6AC846-B929-426E-BFDC-3F6AE7C40810.jpeg3AEA5950-297F-495F-BA08-E7C808C0DCD0.jpegThe latter two were given to me by Old Engineer Old Engineer and sunknife sunknife last year.
A bit of lore I learned while looking at old knife catalogs online last night ~ The knife companies, Schrade in this case, showed their curved blade knives in the Electrician Knives section. As a gardener, I always called that a Hawkbill or Pruner, but Schrade called it a Skinner, intended for skinning cables. And I used to roll my eyes at ebay sellers who called a Hawkbill a Skinner🤔

Excellent group of users! That sheath knife is awesome.

A partly cloudy start to the day here in the City by the Bay! Got some rain overnight but it’s clearing up now. Heading out later for a doctors appointment with a dermatologist. My right index finger is infected and just won’t heal. My primary care doctor told me to soak it in hot water twice a day all that did was bring the puss to the surface. Hopefully I can get some relief finally. Along for the ride the usual lamb and little SAK. Have a great day folks! 😀View attachment 2443675View attachment 2443676
