What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Reporting to Superior Court for jury duty in about an hour, so yesterday's Case 6292 could be the last knife I pocket for a while.

Not bad after getting run through the dishwasher by a house guest this weekend...

Wow KP, I am surprised it looks as good as it does! I've heard of them getting a ride through the washing machine before, but the dishwasher is a first...

Not normal to be dressing up but attending my ex-wife's funeral today. Really strange after 18 years of nasty custody battles and another ten of almost no contact. Decision to go at all based on support for our two thirty plus year old sons.

The Dishwasher....OMG KP. Better than a Timex:D

Yup, full wash and dry cycle in the utensil rack. My wife was struggling cutting up a kiwi for our daughter with those kitchen knives I haven't gotten around to sharpening, so I handed her what was in my pocket and forgot about it. Later than night when I'm emptying out my pockets, I realized I didn't have a knife on me and remembered where it was while simultaneously remembering that our guests had cleaned up after dinner.

I can't really see it but I can feel a little bit of ebony swelling out over the liner edge on the bottom but it seems to have gotten better in the past 24 hours and might continue to shrink back to size. The wood felt rough like it had been damaged by the water and detergent so I put some mineral oil on it and it's much better. Some wood wax ought to bring some luster back to it. The pull and lock are the same as before - smooth and firm. Ebony is tough stuff, not to mention the craftsmanship on this fine tool.

Nice, Dave. ^ I came close to picking the blackwood version. My smooth bone version is arriving today...
