What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks P but you jinxed me:). Just before this pic the clip blade nailed me good. Ah well, whats another cut ;)

I've been enjoying my #85 bullet jack so much that I decided to take another couple pictures of it.

That is some Sweet looking stag!

'P' sez "... The #79 is nowhere near as cumbersome as I'd feared, and in fact compares very favorably (and then some) to some of my other knives. A nice piece, indeed."

When I first handled the three spring 79, I wasn't really that fond of the pattern, but after carrying and using it, it's become one of my favorites. While it's chunky, it's not that bad and carries much like a 73 or 72 single blade or a little heavier, but not as heavy as a 73 two blade trapper. Spring tension is fairly light and the knife opens easily and has half-stops. My only complaint is that the nail nick on the master blade is hard to get my thumbnail into, as it's somewhat blocked by the clip blade; a couple file strokes lowered said blade a few thousandths and I'm a happy camper.

P.S.: Any alterations performed on a factory knife (I.E. filing the kick) will most likely void the factory warranty. Just sayin'.

I love this knife!

I'm still cringing at the thought of the Tidioute going through the dishwasher. Lucky it was something as dense and tough as ebony. Some other materials could have been a whole different story. On the bright side, your knife is now as clean as it will probably ever get. ;)

Had my Camillus swell end today.

I've settled on the clip blade Boys Knife for my traditional carry, these guys ride so nice in pocket.(especially after knocking all the sharp edges down)
Of course that is subject to change once I get a Pony Jack.

I carry a Smith & Wesson folding Tanto design blade constantly. I find this knife useful in many applications. When IN sharpen this knife I use a Diamond Sharpening system, Smith's Precision Sharpening Kit. I set it at a 29 degree to give me the best angle. I've tried other angles but have found this to be the best for what I need.

My secret santa gift from last year. Not something I'd have bought myself, but it's nice enough and it gets used.

The Pony arrived on Saturday, been in my pocket since. Between this one and the 66 Jack that I got from Paul, my rotation has shortened considerably.

Yup. I especially like the secondary blades, slim and wtih some flex....

You must have some thumbnails! If anything, I wish the spear main rode a little lower (not by filing the kick, which would lead to the blade belly likely hitting a pin, but via a slimmer spear to begin with), but I can't see any way that the knife would "work" like that-- blade access would be problematic at best.

I always jump a little when I see this one again. So fine.

Thanks, Jack. I think the grass frog likes it, too! :D

I was just about to say.... ;)

That is toooo funny! I was just telling my wife that opening all three blades on my knife to take pictures is the most dangerous thing I ever do with a knife. :D I hope you are ok.

Yes, the only time I've nicked myself so far is when cleaning or posing a knife, never when using it for its intended purpose. And thanks, yes I'm okay. My finger brushed the edge of the wharncliffe, a wee (if instant!) slicelet. :o

Oops! Sorry. :p

Just one blade at a time today:
