What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My goodness that is a beautiful collection! Thank you for showing it to us. Those Sheaffer balances are a real beaut, and is that a Doric up top?

I will have to break out some of my own collection once it is unpacked to show with my knives. Although I doubt it will measure up to your collection. I wish I had been able to get get my Grandfather's pens, but I think they were long gone and replaced by ballpoints by the time I came around.

Kudos on doing the restores yourself. I have done a Sheaffer Touchdown restore, but nothing dealing with celluloid, so bravo on that. I agree on everyone asking an arm and a leg for real beaters. I feel like that same issue creeps up in the knife world too.
I’ve been collecting pens and knives since I was in middle school!! I taught myself how to restore fountain pens 25+ years ago, but I don’t do much anymore. I’ve repaired just about every make and model. And yes, there are several Dorics in that case. Some of the best writers I have. I have some pretty high end modern pens, but since I’m semi-retired, they don’t get used.

Pretty day today before the snow and bitter cold move in. Normally we play poker every other week and this is an off week, but due to scheduling conflicts we're going to play this evening. Won big last week with this one in my pocket so I thought I'd try it again ;)

Couple of cool carries, Jack, especially the melon tester!:cool::thumbsup:
Your turtle reminds me of a question I wanted to ask: did you find any knife shops in Lanzarote?
Thanks a lot Gary :) I only saw knives on sale in one spot, and they were garish, modern, and unsuitable for this thread!
Channeling my inner bogan (Aussie redneck) with a red tin aka West End Draught and a steak florry sandwich for tea.
