What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today I'm carrying two. I deeply adore them both.

After a Native American funeral we went to a mountain top, No one had scissors to open the plastic bag to scatter my ex-wife's ashes so I loaned the Lakota chief this knife to do the job.

That is a very touching post Gronk...nice in a strange way that you were able to step in and help on a final leg of her journey...

yellow buck stockman. one of the very few multi-blade knives i carry although i almost never use anything but the main blade.

Switched too these two in the afternoon for a little hike. Modded the machete making it smaller and lighter. It's my dirty deed blade

Strange nails it. Divorced since 1980, nasty 20 year custody battle, no real contact in last 10 years yet she was my sons' mother.

And, for today:

It arrived finally. A Ferriby Knives Sgian Dubh made to my specs. A decent write up will follow when I have borrowed a camera as opposed to my usual naff iphone pics.

I shall proudly dander about the croft with this till I have to go to work.

Beautiful knife....dander, croft???? What????

Anglicisms sorry; dander - walk/strut/stroll and croft - small piece of farmland (in Scotland it's traditionally a piece of virtually infertile land without a single square yard that is flat. Anything less than vertical rock is undoubtedly covered in heather, ticks and midges {tiny evil swarms of highland mosquitoes} worked by a crofter).

Had this one just sitting in the case for awhile and decided to start working on the patina today. Digging the red! Plus the fit n finish is great and centering on both blades is perfect
