What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Sweet pair of antiques!

Thank you Jeff ! ☺️

Beautiful Mr P :)

Thank you Mr. Jack ........ love your new Albers fixed blade !😍

Rob, I always look forward to your posts. Beautiful knives expertly photographed 👍

Very kind of you to say and thank you !☺️

Verah nice!

Thank you my friend !☺️

Mr Primble Primble posted a picture of his Ulster Barlow this morning and that enabled me to carry one today . Mr. Primble Primble is also from Kentucky and that reminded me that Ky. is the Blue Grass state , so I put one of those in the other pocket . Not a good day today to do photos but I found some that I took back in 2019 . I really like these two knives and they kind of go together . Something tells me that they were both made in the same place .

Harry

Happy to see that I could enable an enabler ..... Harry. ;)🤣

Our Ulster Barlows could pass for brothers.😍

I think you are probably correct, concerning the heritage of your Bluegrass Barlow ........ likely made by Ulster for Belknap Hardware. 😍

Found this in a jacket, and transferred it to my RF pocket!! I love carrying this old thing; older than me!!! Schrade 2219 1/2GS!!View attachment 2469192View attachment 2469193
At around 100 years, it still has lots of use left!! My Good Luck piece is a $5 poker chip, contributed by an ancient Elephant!!

Beautiful old Schrade Charlie !!!!! 😍

Currently going through all of my jacket pockets. 🥳🤣

Recent postings of GEC Farmer's Jack have inspired me to pocket the Camelbone version I have, very fortunate to have 2 users in this pattern: this and Lyle's SFO plus an Ivory Bone untouched in store = contentment.

Recently found that sharpening Hawk/Pruners is very easy on the Sharpmaker, stops them from turning into 'straights'

A fine-looking pair my friend :)
Glad it made it to you and you’re happy with it. Sending stuff overseas can be a crap shoot sometimes.
Thanks again Paul :) While service certainly varies, of the hundreds of overseas parcels I've sent and received over the years, not one has gone missing, except for the one that was recently left on my door-step by a courier firm recently
Tool Man is very deserving 🤣🤣🤣
I'm not sure of what! :D ;)
Work carry for today. Hope everyone had a great day.

Thank you Todd :)
Good market Lamb 🐑 Hope it was a good one at the market today.
Thanks David, it got to cut plenty of cake! :D
Couldn't get outside for a proper photo shoot yet today, so pardon the less-than-optimal lighting. These two in my pocket make me happy, very happy 😁

They pair beautifully Ken :)
Still carrying the A. Wright sheepsfoot, and added in yesterday's mail call: this little tiny Imperial.

Snap on the Imperial is good, everything is tight, but it's clearly been sharpened with a grinder by someone without the skill to do that well. Still quite usable, though. I've always found these all-metal knives to be charming, so thought I'd check one out.

Thanks Jack
I did have a good day 😊

Very nice examples Jeff.👍🏻
Thank you, Bob
Don’t be, my friend.
Everytime I say something with self assured conviction, I find out my conviction was…
Overly optimistic🤪
Check out the SCC EO Jack Rufus1949 Rufus1949 just posted. Other than the blade shape and pull, it looks identical to a Navy Jack???

Great antique Camillus Camper, Robert!
Happy BD, and Happy AD!
Counting my blessings, more rain, not snow!!
Happy Australia Day to those down under!
An old Schrade EO/ lamb today.View attachment 2471161
Wow, very knice!
Was I wrong in thinking there were only three Navy Jacks? It sure looks like it!

Thanks Jeff. Your knives led me to this carry today. Not to refute your statements, but due to similar shape. When found, it was simply called an easy open.
There seems to be a slight size and weight difference, compared to the Camillus. 20240126_055844.jpg
