Going back to town in a bit for an appointment with my doctor. When I had that ravioli at the Brass Rail Restaurant yesterday, I put a piece in my mouth without blowing on it and it was hot, hot, hot!!!!! Burned my cheek and gum so my chew is terrible this morning - don't have any chew at all. Looks like a strict liquid diet today and probably the whole weekend. I pocketed this Remington Mini Trapper yesterday and will carry it today.

Ed, I have another option. Ice cream 😋.

Finally feeling human enough to leave the house again. I do not wish this crud upon anybody so if you can avoid it, I highly suggest it. Grabbed a good old case Stockman to throw in my pocket for my ventures out into the wilds of Costco shopping.

A nice little gift arrived from

Jack Black

today.

I call this sort of Knife with a,stainless blade, big grippy orange handle and lanyard loop a "boat knife"

In the old days I used to drill my knives and put a lanyard loop on them in case I was working over water.

As I get sea sick and so rarely went on boats/ships except ferries, after 30 years I stopped doing it. 😂

It arrived just at the right time though as I was going to the "Riverside cafe" which strangeley enough is by the riverside. 🤣🤣🤣

He also sent me this excellent Dunlop tryre lever, which is heavy duty (and though made in England) it may well be made using steel from the girders of the Forth bridge.

(I once went out with 4 Scottish lasses in Glasgow, they where drinking Irn bru and Vodka so did I to be social.
As I was the only Englishman in the pub and all the Scotsmen where drinking pints of heavy I got some daggers/looks (it was one of the less trendy parts of town).
But I was the one with lasses so I didnt care.😊)

It will make an excellent pry bar I can see a lot of uses for it.

While mucking around near the water I noticed it said the life buoys should be checked often.

Well I had a look and the rope was sun damaged and badly frayed so I called the number under the sign and reported the 2 of them.

Busy body or good citizen you decide....😇

Thanks again to Jack.
