What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks, Jim. I've heard that name Ivoroid before. There seems to be several synthetic materials and several names for synthetic materials, some names are interchangeable too I think.🤔
A lot of the Sheffield cutlers use the names interchangeably, with many using the names of older materials, which are no longer used, such as Bexoid, which is a name still commonly used in Sheffield
Thanks, Jack  I'm liking it as well, something a little different from handles on any other knife I have.
It definitely has an allure all of its own :)

I put a small lanyard on the knife Jack sent me.

I have also worked and oiled the scabbard and oiled the knife handle as well.

Now it goes in a little deeper but can be pulled out with ease.

Then I changed the one on my opinel for one a bit longer.

They are for practical purposes rather than decorative.

When you do a bit of work on a knife it becomes yours,if you see what I mean.

Nice work John :) One of the reason I like adding lanyards to my knives is that it makes them easier to spot if I drop them. I usually use a bit of Firecord, then you have a bit of tinder too
Thanks Jack, I think I am still full . Great carry today, aesthetically that might be my favorite Lambsfoot I’ve seen yet

Carrying red and white in support of the Kansas City Chiefs today, they have a tall task ahead of them.

LOL! :D Thanks Tom, that's my K'roo Lambsfoot in Waboom wood, a very generous gift from Bob Rufus1949 Rufus1949 :) Another nice pairing there my friend, I hope your team did OK
I'm not sure I know the difference between a snap ring and a circlip. I know I've used the term interchangeably, and I bought these to remove the circlips holding the wrist pins (aka Gudgeon pin and piston pin) on my BMW. Bail removal was a happy additional use :)
I thought it might be a tomato/tomato thing Mike :D So I looked it up, and apparently a snap ring is a heavy-duty circlip :D Good to hear you still do your own work :)

As the Sun was out I went over to the reservoir for some bird watching.

There was a lot of people around so I didnt see much as the animals scare easy.

They offered me a mobility scooter so I thought I would give it a go.

I looked like a gorrila on a tricycle it was that small, but I managed to go a bit further to a place I hadnt been to before and then back to the hides.🤭

I even took it cross country.

Feel free to take the Michael. 😂

This Spanish knife is a bit special, its so well made, carbon blade and the lock is amazing its a proper outdoors knife.

As its England I rarely carry something like this,I put it in the bottom of my bag in my car boot there and back.

Great wildlife pics John, and I like the look of your knife (I have a couple of Spanish knives with the same mechanism) I'm getting to age, (and state of decrepitude), where I'm starting to look at those scooters quite enviously, out of the corner of my eye! :D ;)

The spine of that knife is perfect with a fire steel I tried it out.It makes it a cracking outdoors knife.

The last thing I can remember doing with this knife is taking this picture! I cannot find it. I have not lost a knife in many years and I literally just bought it!!!. This knife would be quite the find for anyone in the part of the world I am right now. I must have left it sitting somewhere. It may turn up but I’ve searched quite a bit, if not, may it serve the new owner faithfully!
I sure hope you find it

All I can say was if you buy one get a big one and a big battery, this one was designed for little old ladys about 5 foot tall. 🤣

Since medicare won't pay for danseuse-borne palanquins.

Still $11.75 to spend before April!

Losing a knife is a drag for sure, but at least the Electrician is replaceable unlike some that are vintage or super popular. Hope you find it 🤞
It is a bummer, but the reason I bought and brought the electrician was exactly because it’s replaceable. Just in case. I didn’t actually expect to lose it! Not a big deal. I think it might turn up. I have one more place to retrace my steps, I’ll be back there in a couple days.

In the meantime, I still have my classic with me!

I like the Lambs witj a pen secondary.
Do you find yourself using the small blade most often as I do? I don’t have a two bladed LF, but was thinking of today’s tote.

Ok. That reminds me of the Brit comedy skit ( Monty Python?) …
“And how did you find yourself this morning?”
“I just looked down, and there I was!”
