Lambsfoot this week has been Union Jack, my rosewood lambsfoot that my wife and daughter bought for me in York while visiting the UK:

In addition to sharing the same frame as the #12 & 13 the Navy Utility also shared it with the #50 & 51 Barlows

Thanks for the good information, Steve! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
When Jeff brought up this topic, I tried to find the pages you linked to, since I knew I had seen them somewhere. Finally found "my copy" yesterday. :rolleyes:🤓

Great photo of a splendid chestnut jigged SBJr, Chris! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:
I'm real fond of mine, too; carry it every day along with whatever my rotation schedule assigns me for the week.

Going back to town in a bit for an appointment with my doctor. When I had that ravioli at the Brass Rail Restaurant yesterday, I put a piece in my mouth without blowing on it and it was hot, hot, hot!!!!! Burned my cheek and gum so my chew is terrible this morning - don't have any chew at all. Looks like a strict liquid diet today and probably the whole weekend. I pocketed this Remington Mini Trapper yesterday and will carry it today.

Sorry to hear your ravioli "bit" you back, ED; been there, done that! :eek::thumbsdown: Hope it doesn't mess up your eating enjoyment for too long.

While mucking around near the water I noticed it said the life buoys should be checked often.

Well I had a look and the rope was sun damaged and badly frayed so I called the number under the sign and reported the 2 of them.

Busy body or good citizen you decide....😇
I vote for "good citizen". 🤓:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hello,

Each time I've this pouch in my pocket I think about its maker.
Happy new year @JohnDF and thank you for my best sheath 🙏

And happy new year to all the Porch 🥳

Â
I also think the sheath John made for me is my best, and carry it every day, usually holding a different knife each week! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

IMHO, you have a new and an old classic there, Jack! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

I always enjoy seeing your "Grand Canyon" Ashley's Choice! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Rain seems to keep coming, still rocking the Canoe. I've had this one for a long while and lately it's really becoming a favorite. View attachment 2472406
Captivating canoe! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I had been messing with it for awhile, but that exact DS song is what made me ditch my flatpicks for good. That and Six Blade Knife from the same album.
Love the gate photo, Johnny.

"Six Blade Knife" is a good one! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

View attachment 2473191View attachment 2473192just finished cleaning and putting a edge on these 2 that I picked up at the gun show today. These are the before pictures going to carry both for the day.
Congrats on your 2 finds, especially that stag whittler! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

These 2 Germany made Stags today . Front one is a Weidmannsheil and a Kronenkreb . Each of them is over 4 " closed . Weidmannsheil is carried in a sheath .

Have never carried either one of these much .
It appears that there may be a crack in the Stag on the Pile side that I will have to put some Super Glue into . The stick that the blades are propped up on may be my next walking stick . I think that it is Pine and may not be strong enough . Yet to be determined .
Superior stag, Harry! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

That Wards cattle knife is certainly a keeper!! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Exemplary Electrician! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Sorry to read later that it has vanished. :(

Buck 110 in my right pocket, Rough Ryder red jigged bone bolster lock trapper (long name) in my left and Vic classic SD on my keys.
Belated welcome to The Porch! :thumbsup:🤓

Simple yes, will some people screw up a simple task?, also yes 🙄
Have you been spying on me?? o_O;)

My Grandad grew up in Portsmouth, Ohio, home of the fledgling NFL franchise the Portsmouth Spartans. In 1934, the Spartans moved to Detroit and became the Detroit Lions. So, it's appropriate to have this one in the pocket today... :)

Cool story! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
Wish the game had a happier ending.

Pocketing this 4" stockman that arrived in the mail yesterday. Stamped Robeson 432594 USA. I think these covers are called 'French ivory'?
Its in very good condition with nice blade action and looks unused to me. A small amount of shrinkage on the scales at the bolster being the only flaw I see, which is expected and not bothersome to me. Overall I'm quite pleased with this one.

Congrats on that big fancy Robeson stockman, Greg! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Gifted 77 Improved Muskrat, and 766, which according to a post I dug up, Schrade called a Wharncliffe Pattern ~ even though it has no Wharncliffe blade.
It’s been re-hafted in stag by Glenbad, so not only can I celebrate Schradurday, but I can join the cool kids in Stagurday.
Thanks, Bruce and Bob!
