What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

A leather collaborative between Jeremy@sbh06 and Paul@Jakeywax31. Thank you both for your thoughtful generosity. 👏👍🏻

What is the total closed length on that K'roo? Just curious.🤓
Fox squirrel. Nice.
Great photo of a splendid chestnut jigged SBJr, Chris!:cool::thumbsup:
I'm real fond of mine, too; carry it every day along with whatever my rotation schedule assigns me for the week.

Thanks, GT!! There's just something special about them. Can't explain it, really. The deep burgundy on yours is pretty perfect, IMO.👌🏻
McD totin' a full-size trapper??? 🤔 That's different.
😍 Nice axe!! I was looking at those a while back. You know... in case I need to chop up a filing cabinet... or something?? 🤷‍♂️

Handy little hatchet I keep on the 4 wheeler for helping clear small branches off of trails, but it sees most of its use making kindling.

I’ve had one for a few years, and it’s amazing how handy it is to keep it my pack. I helped my nephew dress a caribou in Alaska with it a few years ago. Now it goes with my every time I get off the beaten path 👍🏻

Ditto!! I have a very similar model that I keep in the Yeti Go Box in the back of my 4Runner. I enjoy it so much that I look for excuses to use it!!!

Let me axe you a question... What's the handle length on that one? 🤔 I was reading about preferred "pack axes" vs. "camp" vs. blah, blah. Axes are as bad as the knives!! 🤓

"best" of all realms?
Only 4.125 inch closed, excluding the bail.
Reasonable and smooth "5" pull on all blades, there is a half stop on all 4 blades, as well.
Weight is less than a 3 5/8 inch Scout/Camp.
I'll guess the G10 covers liners, and bolsters are much lighter than Delrin/bone and German Silver bolsters and brass liners.
New AND old black. to make it "easy" to spot if set down or dropped. (excluding in an Oak and/or Elm forest in the fall)
Can opener works quite well. (I've not had any opportunity to test the caplifter. ☹️🥺)

Highly recommend if you need a user 4 blade Scout/Camp knife, that won't damage the back account ... or upset the better 99.9%. 😇👍

You can also find a ‘belt hatchet’ or a ‘mini hatchet’ if you want really small. I have a few that are 6-8” handle lengths. You lose a lot of leverage!

A red velvet banana pudding from our favorite local bakery.... Y'all from the southern side of the U.S. know what I'm talking about 😉

Going out to dinner with the Mrs. Later tonight, the S&M seems like a nice companion to bring along. Deep swedges anyone ???
