Ha! I've eaten my fair share of "salt n peppa" catfish. Once I started trout fishing, my views of freshwater fish changed drastically. Not sure I'd eat bass, but I've always wanted to try walleye for some reason.

Bass are ok, but I almost always release them to catch again.
Catfish, bluegills, and goggleye are what I bring home when the gettin’ is good.
Walleye, trout, and crappie are probably the best eating as far as freshwater fish goes, but I’d have to travel to catch them.
