I feel blessed to have been able to acquire some very nice knives lately, but the 93 is really something special! waynorth really knocked it out of the park with that one!

Dave, the wood is stabilized spalted maple. S30V on the blade. I've had this one for 13 years.

Don’t knock rattlesnake. It’s a real clean white meat. Not like groungog, that’s dark and super greasy. Not bad with a lot of greens, though.
Back to knives, though. That 293 Schrade hooked me on their Serpentine Jack shape for life. I can’t even guess how many fish it took care of.

Rattlesnake is good eatin when properly cooked. Over cooked it resembles chalk.
Thanks my friend. There is something about large single blade slip joints and frame locks that draw me to them.
I like it. It carries better to me than the two bladed version. Just enough thinner to make a difference

Nice pair there, Todd. While I have “come over to the dark side” when it comes to using pocket slips for certain knives, I think I have to draw the line at one pocket slip at a time.

Thought I’d grab something red for Valentine’s Day, so I went with this #15 Boy’s Knife I hadn’t carried in a while. The Albers Lamb has been in my pocket since last week (and before that it was a different Albers Lamb).

Thankfully Julie and I have never cared much about Valentine’s Day, so we do a few things for the girls and that’s about it. Over the weekend I helped Eleanor with her Valentine’s box for school. She wanted The Monster Book of Monsters from Harry Potter, so that’s what we did. (The Lambsfoot in the pic didn’t really get to help much. Most of the required cutting was more suited to scissors and an Xacto knife. I did use the punch/awl on a Victornox Pioneer to punch holes for the eyes.)

Nice pair, and a really cool valentine box. Daughters are truly special.

Finally got out for a hunt with one of my boys and the bunny for a bunny.

Not sure what has happened on my Laguiole, and Le Thiers had almost same situation.
Tried to use metal spike clean it but the scratches left.

Then the idea came to my mind late, use Benchmade 15017-1 make wood "spike", cleaning job done.

One in my belt sheath ... two in my pockets.
I often notice that some member or another posts up an Opinel knife and comments how handy, question why they need anything more, what a great value they are, as well as nice quality.
I am in that same frame of mind today.
