I had a bunch of quotes saved up, but some computer glitch dumped them all! I recovered some, but not all, of them and found some more recent things to add as well.

That red Pioneer is one of my favorite knives that I got for a great price in a consignment store (aka junk shop) in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Your Carhartt punch stockman is very appealing, Frank!....
Worked from home today, so was free from the knife size restrictions of the engineering building. And I took advantage of it.

Cute girls and grandpa! The commemorative knives are a fantastic idea!Birthday party carry for my 2 lovely granddaughters.
Until I saw your recent posts, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a Winchester canittler; very intriguing! How big, and how old, is that knife?
Cool project, Mike! I know almost nothing about audio equipment, but back in the mid-1970s, I was trying to put together a stereo system that included an amp and homemade speakers I bought from a guy who needed cash for a cross-country motorcycle trip, and I added an entry-level Pioneer turntable. What I REALLY wanted back then was a pair of small Advent speakers, but I never did get them. They sure sounded good to me at that time!Antonini Cable assists with the preparation of an Advent Baby woofer for new a new foam surround. The Advents were my parent's, circa 1985. I have no idea if these will work or not. Crossovers may have expired from old age too. My first time refoaming a speaker.
Think I'll drink lots of coffee to steady my hands

Thanks, Jeff.Yes, that’s nice stag.
Cool little Farmall! I put in a lot of hours driving Farmall H and M models back on the dairy farm where I grew up. We had an F20, too, but almost never used it when I was old enough to drive. (I don't think I EVER did get that sucker started with its crank.)Those were pretty useful little tractors back in the 50's . Obviously not as powerful as the H's and M's but there were plenty of jobs for them .

They had to resort to all kinds of stuff before Mr. Dupont invented Delrin, didn’t they?

Congrats on your Mohawk canoe! I have one of those which is certainly in my top 3 canoes, I think.
Awesome Sowbelly! I love the groved bolsters & badge shield![]()
Thanks, guys. I think all the Winchester black box models are probably superb knives, but (unless there's a black box canoe I'm not aware of) the sowbelly stockman is my favorite. Those black box sowbellys appear to be a standard "must-have". I'm going to have to find myself one!![]()
Congrats! What materials are used for the bolsters and covers?Carrying my new arrival from Hungary

Atlas Shrugged! An under appreciated Boker. Maybe because it strays a little from most traditionals.
Nectar of the Gods, for sure!Wow! I bet that was an ambrosial discovery!

I never know how general or specific to be when referring to people's location. Should I refer to their galaxy, or solar system, or planet, or hemisphere, or continent, or nation, or state, or county, or city, or neighborhood, or street, or block, or building???I am no Brit I’m English, you North American continent you.
Or Limey if you prefer,I love where that name came from.![]()
Thanks, Jim. I have another very similar one, but with white handle covers.Love that BSA knife, Gary!![]()
Mike, I wouldn't worry about it. When I'm talking, half the time I don't know what I'm talking about either!I don't even know what you guys are talking about![]()
That Old Timer stockman with the serrated sheepsfoot is very nice! (I have an oriental version of that knife - Blazer, I think. Mine came with a deck of cards showing Schrade knife models.)
Actually, I couldn't remember the name of the monthly section of military jokes and had to look it up to get Humor in Uniform.Great memory on the best features of Reader’s Digest, Gary. Those are ones I invariably read.
Nice to see your near twin to my red Pioneer, and thanks for straightening me out on Soldier vs Pioneer.
And thanks for the compliments!
