A perfect pair. Thanks to @Buckibbq for a very smooth trade for the Grinling. The hunt was worth, it *is* love!

A really lovely surprise fromWill Power showed up - my first (certainly not my last) Winchester, a swell-center splitback that is perhaps the most perfect watch-pocket knife ever? Cam tangs all around, nicely jigged bone, carbon steel blades just the right thickness, hits the nail on the head
I actually prefer this to the GEC 33 version, which I had tried some time back and crossed off my list due to my extreme finickiness about clip blades. Okay, maybe it's a prejudice. I'm working on it, you all help
.
Also thoughtfully included was a fun post-card with Bears, and a coin (I *do* collect foriegn coins!). Apparently that superstition about knife-giving and friendship exists across the Atlantic as well, but I was unaware of the talisman effect of adding a coin. Anyways, a great excuse to throw something in future porch-bound packages so I shall endeavor to follow Will's good example. Thank you again Will, very thoughtful and useful, just like your posts here![]()
OOOOOHHHHHH! Like that a lot, would be thrilled to get hold of a CASE 18 in this form and your one has very decent Amber Bone, one of CASE's best in my view.Have this nice CV punch stockman in my pocket today.

GEC 15 Urban Jack helped with some little modifications of a new Opinel No 8. I've taken to deepening the curve in the handle. And then an odd ball step of using another knife blade or screw driver to push a tooth pick down the blade well to act as a spacer. Both of these combine to make the blade perfectly punchable.
