Good bone on that Canoe
That’s interesting. If you flip that $2 bill over and look at the picture of the men seated, in the center of the group you'll see Mr. James Hanson, the first black president of the U.S. Actually, there was no separate Office of The Presidency back then (during the days of the Continental Congress), there was only President (Pro Temp) of The Congress, who also acted (temporarily) as the Executive, aka the President, of the U.S. That means Barack Obama was NOT the first black president. Just sayin'...
Very cool to see that knife brought back to life. Interesting that it has no nail nick - I tend to associate that (perhaps incorrectly) with custom shop and limited edition 112s. It'd be fascinating to know the backstory on this one.
Thanks David, a new arrival.Good bone on that Canoe![]()
That’s interesting.

Thank you and I’m sorry to hear that David! I have a local BBQ joint that regularly gives these out as change, as well as 50-cent pieces. Not rare or anything but it’s pretty neat.that Harness Jack. I bought two two dollar bills when they came out. They had consecutive serial numbers. Bit alas they were stolen years ago.
Great pairing!Emissions test, haircut, grocery runs, etc. this seemed like a good pair to have for whatever else the day brings. Hope everyone is staying cool!

Version 1. Left hand stamp, stainless spring holder, Macasar Ebony inlays, two brass inlay rivets and stainless rocker rivet.

Version 3. Same as above except three brass inlay rivets.
Version 4. Same as above except the brass inlay rivets are now approximately 1/8” in diameter
Nice 112.
So a version 4?
I'm guessing the versions 1; 2; and 3 had 1/8" inlay rivets, like my c.1975 two dot two pin V5V5 110?
