What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

At the ranch in Oregon for a couple days. Brought the frankenlifter with me because I know there will be things to cut and caps to lift.

LOL GT .......... my son didn't go through that phase, fortunately for me. 🤣
Thanks for the comments. I would expect you to be a fan of spear blades, since you favor a Canoe. 😊 I love clip blades.
Thanks for the info on generational runners, Rob. 🤓
My first knife, and only knife for over 50 years, was a Colonial Forest-Master scout; I think that's probably the reason a spearpoint blade is my favorite (even though when I first came to BF, I had brief "flings" with other blade shapes I'd never met before).

74 Stallion again today. Shot of the pile side complete with bone crack at center pin. It came that way from the dealer new in 2017. I filled with CA glue at the time and after 7 years and a fair amount of use, heavy and light, its been stable. :) It certainly isn't as noticeable in hand as it looks in this pic.

Excellent photo of a splendid knife, Greg!:thumbsup::cool:

No. Take nothing but the Soldier. You will need the room for Spanish knives.
Good advice to Johnnythefox Johnnythefox , Jeff.:thumbsup::thumbsup: When I visited my daughter in Spain almost 10 years ago, I had a few knives in my checked bag for the flight, but after my first visit to a cuchilleria, all I carried was a Taramundi I bought there. Then I bought at least 6 other knives in different Spanish cities - great souvenirs/mementos!

Oldie from late 70s early 80s iirc. I need to dye or rescale this thing. It's s on the list.
I have one very similar to that, but it still has most of its "brown skin". I'll post a pic of it that even has orange in it. ;)
I have another old Imperial that has lost a lot of its color, like yours, and another that's lost its covers entirely, and I like them all.:cool::thumbsup:

Hospital before work.
Hearing exam and otolaryngologist.
I like your Imperial Ireland, especially the shield molded right into the handle.:cool::thumbsup:

A very capable work companion.
That's a handsome knife, and it looks very handy, too!:thumbsup::cool:

Jim your Michigan Lambigator sowbelly is outstanding! 🤓:thumbsup:

Once I started using it instead of babying it, I really have enjoyed it so much more.
That's my experience with knives, too, Jon. I tend to like whatever knife I'm using, and usually I like 'em more the more I use them.:cool::thumbsup:
Kind of reminds me of an old song titled "Love the One You're With"; I thought it promoted a detestable approach to romantic relationships, but it describes my knife relationships quite accurately! ;)

Went Thrifty Thursday stainless today with this Rough Rider sowbelly for work and a bit of target practice at the end of the day. A cheap knife that came very sharp with good snap and pretty decent F&F has to be used from time to time. :) Amber bone originally but I dyed it with brown and black RIT, maybe 6-7 yrs ago.

Another impressive photo, Greg! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
And I agree with you on the quality of RR sowbelly stockman models. I have at least 10 of them, and IMHO they're just as useful as the sowbellies I have from other companies, including Case and Winchester (Black Box).
