What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That's my experience with knives, too, Jon. I tend to like whatever knife I'm using, and usually I like 'em more the more I use them.:cool::thumbsup:
Kind of reminds me of an old song titled "Love the One You're With"; I thought it promoted a detestable approach to romantic relationships, but it describes my knife relationships quite accurately! ;)

Excellent observation as always GT. I love that song 💪🏼. Have a great weekend!

Very nice Tyson.👌

I am personally very fond of this pattern, especially in natural wood. I wasn’t super keen on the blue one they initially released. May just have to find one.
It’s a winner in my book!
I had a rough night last night. I tweaked my lower back while mowing and then while trying to accomodate my lower back, managed to cause my upper back to join the party 🙄 Finally fell asleep around 3 A.M. My neck seems to be ok so far this morning. I've been moving around some and my lower back seems to be loosening up some. Oddly the discomfort has moved from the spine to right side which I take as very good sign 🤞
I'm leaving in few moments to drop my car off at the shop to get the oil changed, tires rotated, and have a faulty wheel sensor replaced. While that's being done, I'm off to shoot pool. I'm not too sure how that will go. Shooting pool with a tweaked back is probably a bad idea 😜 All that stretching will either help, or...not ;) If it doesn't work out to well, I'll have a beer and a seat and harass the guys :D
That said, the morning has been great so far. Fresh from the mailbox

I normally carry a SAK to the pool game, but I think I may have to slip this one in my pocket today ;)
Yikes! Hope things loosen up Mike. Even if you can shoot, you can still grab a beer and harass the guys! It’s required actually.

TGIF! This one ain’t going anywhere for a while.

For the past 2 weeks in this thread, I've been posting pics of knives I took with me to a vacation on the shore of Lake Huron. Most (all??) of them have been knives I ordered last month. But I took some knives I've had for quite some time with me, too, and I'll post 3 of them today. One is a yellow CV Case copperhead with wharncliffe/pen blade combo and an EO notch (thanks, Steve). It's shown here on a map of the Les Cheneaux Islands, an archipelago of 36 islands that extend about 12 miles, west to east, just off Lake Huron's shoreline along the southeast border of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The photo is showing only part of the chain of islands, including the 2 biggest ones (I think), Marquette Island and La Salle Island. The heavy black line at the upper right of the map is M-134, the state highway running out to the eastern tip of the U.P. Where that highway runs off the middle top of the photo, you can see a black dot for the public dock in Cedarville, and immediately to the right is a skinny little spit of land extending into the bay. We've been renting a cottage on that little peninsula.

If you move right on the map from La Salle Island, you'll see a pair of islands, Hill Island and Island No. 8, that can be accessed by road from the state highway. These are the only 2 of the Le Cheneaux Islands that can be reached by land vehicles. One day, I walked down to the township recycling center which is very near the bridge leading to Hill Island. I took some knife photos there for old times' sake, since, back in our kayaking days, my wife and I would often kayak around Hill Island and pass under both bridges.
Here's a photo looking west from the bridge, followed by a shot of a Böker Magnum scout knife (thanks, Greg) taken on that side of the bridge:

Here's a photo looking east from the bridge; if your eyes are better than mine, you might see a pair of cormorants on a rock in the middle of the photo, and a 3rd cormorant slightly right of them. That's followed by a photo of my Victorinox Solo taken in that direction.

Finally a shot of a French barrel knife on the rocks protecting the base of the bridge from being washed out.

Looks like a great trip, Gary! 👍:)

I reversed my 74 from yesterday and it turned into a 47.

I cleaned and polished it,now the blade wont pinch open. 😁

If you can work out where I went today you win a fun size mars bar 🤭

I went past the Prime ministers country retreat at Chequers, through lovely rolling hills.

Encountered cows foraging in the woods (thats a first) and another lot of cows in the most bizzare behaviour ever gathered around a plinth all with there heads inwards trying to touch it like some kind of weird cult ritual.

Any cowboys on here can explain it? 🤔 😆
