High CarbonSears Cattle Knife, cosmetically battered Pioneer, and Buck Woodsman. My Dad gave the Buck to my oldest boy when he was in high school. I liked it more than he did, so I bought a new 119 Special as trade bait, and he fell for it. Of course, now I have both.
The Special is always jammed down between my car seat and the armrest pistol box
One of the two hot peppers I grow, cayenne. A friend gave me a baggie of seeds with โcayinnโ written on it some years ago, and I have grown it since then. Theyโre little firesticks by my standards. I donโt need haba-reaper-devilโs breath peppers. Iโm taking a needle and thread to string them up and hang to dry. They will last me until next season, because my girls canโt take the heat.
The mainstay hot pepper I grow is poblano. The girls eat those, because theyโre as mild as hot peppers get. Iโll dry some of those too, for ancho.
Iโm letting them get bigger.
The peppers in the big box are my third picking of those. Sweet grilling peppers. These are great, so you bet Iโm saving some seeds. Theyโre not full of water like bell peppers, so they cook up well.
@AusLoX andZHoovie ~ great news
Youโre a handsome guy, Mr. Hoovie. I remember before my hair turned gray.
Cooked up six pounds of pot roast and my sweet peppers and spices into a slow cooker full of Italian beef to take to the in-laws. And now Iโm waitin on a woman.
Hope all have a good weekend!
Epic post!Been a long Sunday... Almost midnight here...my sister took the Labor Day weekend literally...
She went into labor early this morning & blessed us with a new family member
I got a nephew now & have taken on the status as Uncle!

Special occasion calls for special carry. I had the Pearl Case & my late grandfathers Imperial Barlow with me. He's there in spirit. Forgive the bad lighting...
