Today's carry is another jack that I forgot to carry when going through my Jacks.
A Queen #69. The Queen Catalog called it a "Straight Jack". The general shape of the knife has also been called a "Heavy Jack" or a "Swell End Jack".
But here it is with its D2 blades and amber stag bone covers:

Sambar or red? The main tine branching looks more like sambar, but the number of brow tines, texture of the bark, and the fur color look more like red.

It’s a red, with very few exceptions sambar only get 3 times per side. I live half an hour or so from reds and 7-8 hours from sambar so I mostly hunt reds. Sambar country is something special though, my state has over 20 million contiguous acres of public land where you can hunt them.

The last two knives from last week’s estate sale. A Boker USA Stockman in what I believe is bone stag. The Tang Stamp dates this from 1945-1963. The Queen Steel #26 Stockman has no Tang Stamp or other markings, which leads me to believe that this is an import. Also carrying the 1998 Micra, which will be a daily carry.
