All steel, no name.

Today's carry is another jack that I forgot to carry when going through my Jacks.
A Queen #69. The Queen Catalog called it a "Straight Jack". The general shape of the knife has also been called a "Heavy Jack" or a "Swell End Jack".
But here it is with its D2 blades and amber stag bone covers:

I’m not usually a fan of stag handles so much, but that is a beautiful example 😍

Was going to carry another from my GEC stainless pic from yesterday, but another GEC was calling for me when I was deciding this morning 😁

It's a Bull Nose for a trip to town today. The Wagon Wheel Cafe is still hanging on by a thread so it's my duty to eat there as often as possible - a bit melodramatic I suppose but I've known the family and employees since 1989 - we're all a family. Coffee for breakfast.

When I read this, I decided to pose my knives on my old iron wagon wheel. For mojo and good karma toward your struggling cafe…
Excellent combo, Rick. But I am biased.
I have two or three pairs of newer boots, but I just can't bring myself to throw these old things away. I keep them on the mat beside the back door & they're still earning their keep.

I have three pairs of Redwings which I have had re-soled. It’s worth it to me if the leather is still in good shape.

Scout Trapper today. Sticking close to the homestead. Gonna try diced bacon with pancakes. Cindy chops/minces the bacon so I can put it in my mouth and move it around with my tongue and then swallow it. Tasty but kinda a pain in the gahoozel-hatch.

echoscout echoscout thanks for the information on Queen. I’ll spend some time cleaning that one up.

BTW - Does anyone know why I am no longer able to insert quotes?
