What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today's carry is a Gerber Silver Knight, an Al Mar designed knife manufactured for Gerber by G Sakei in Japan. The steel is Hitachi Ginghami No. 1. Covers are "zebrawood" (resin infused wood). Always a delight to carry.

Is that a it of causmag?

How is the Max Sao knife? They look good.
It’s a loose mineral supplement, mostly salt with copper, selenium, and other trace minerals.

I’m really liking the Max Sao. Very well made with nice crisp action. Thanks.
Love the stag on that,I worked on a dairy farm when young that had two border collies and It was cool to say away and off they went directing them back to the barn at a slow walk so not to upset them for milking, lightly nipping at the Achilles of the stubborn, but like me they to had unpleasant meetings with the bull but they had skills to get away lol.
Thanks. So fun to watch them work.

I won one of those on the bay once, but got it too cheap and lost the money and the knife in a baffling series of communications.

Case Knife of the week is a sawcut 6347 stockman:

Colonial/Imperial/Schrade Knife of the Week is an Imperial serpentine jack that once belonged to my father-in-law, who gave it to his daughter when he got a new knife, and she eventually gave it to me and reignited my interest in pocket knives.

I floated down the river with my family today. I had my Alox SAK with me.

Nice Cadet, Bart!
I've never tried a paddle board, but I can't imagine that I have an adequate sense of balance to use one successfully.

2 fantastic ways to commemorate the dog you no longer have!

Thanks Gary.👍
For me the no.6 is the ideal, (although it only has 5 e 7, were offered).:)
Yes I was out of holiday during August.;)
When my daughter lived in Madrid, she said it became a "ghost town" in August because so many people left for holiday. Is that what happens in Portugal, too?

Outstanding grain on your desert ironwood Guardians lambsfoot, José!

Today’s brief carry is a stag Schatt & Morgan Gunboat Canoe that was produced as part of the 1995 Keystone Series.
Splendid S&M canittler!

Thats an S&M 033264 Canoe Whittler.

Gunboat canoes are made like a stockman pattern with the main blade on one spring and two smaller blades on the second spring at opposite ends, and sometimes with 4 blades......

Outstanding abalone Bulldog 4-blade gunboat!

No, I don't. But if you start a thread in Tech Support, we might be able to get you sorted,

Today's carry is yet another jack configuration I forgot I had. Rough Rider calls it a "Half Hawk". Case used to call this configuration a "Loom Fixer", a knife with blades designed for fixing looms. (I wish the Rough Rider owners would pull more discontinued Case patterns out of their vaults and make them available. I know who they are and I have an idea of what they have upon which to draw. SO many patterns lost to the mists.)

I have a Coal Miner Half Hawk just like yours (thanks, ED) and another with smooth tobacco bone covers. I'm impressed with the pattern.

Congrats on your curved "Tobacco" Bulldog Barlow!

One of these is not like the other ...

😁 Premier pair of knives!

Beguiling burl lambsfoot Barlow, Bob!

SUCH a handsome, distinguished knife, Jeff!

Yesterday, the county decided we needed a stripe on our road. I guess we're big time uptown now 🥳😃
Personally, I find it a little confining. I've lived here 30 years and have grown used to wandering around willy nilly 🤪
...
Totin' the 29 out in the yard this morning while I admired the pretty new stripe. Life is pretty exciting here in Mid-MO.

I'm sure you'll eventually appreciate the structure the road stripe adds to your life, Mike. 🤓
Your red road-watching knife is a beauty!

I'm not a huge fan of Barlows, but that pair makes a compelling argument for the pattern!

Whittler and a Lamb

Radiant reddish wood, Steve!

Today's carry is the 2015 Forum knife, I'm not aware of this pattern having a name other than it is bareheaded and has a single spring. Other than that, Canal Street, 440C, and Bocate Wood are the specifics.

Very desirable knife, Frank!

Sao lamb foot again.

Congrats on the vibrant green lambsfoot, Bart!

What's the best thing about a one(1) tool Swiss Army knife ?? ...
Not sure, but the shield's a big plus.

Thanks Arathol - Appreciate the correction! Always learning from this group!!

I've never tried a paddle board, but I can't imagine that I have an adequate sense of balance to use one successfully.
I figure my weight might give me a chance, as the board would sink and become a hydrofoil, and I'd be braced by being planted knee-deep.
I'm in no hurry to test that hypothesis, however, scientist though I be.
