Big day for me on the sentimental side. I decided to open a long forgotten treasure chest i dug out from the far reaches of my closet. Along with many treasures I found my Dad's EDC ! He carried this red bone Robeson Suredge 622056 every summer when he was happiest renovating his 1750 farm house in Southern Vermont. I have often wondered where this knife went. I polished it up and I feel closer to him holding it. He passed his love of traditional slip joints onto me at an early age. He passed away at 100 years old in 2021. I'll be carrying this old knife for a while ...IMG_7138.jpegIMG_7136.jpeg

Unfortunately , I broke my calcaneus (heel bone) about a week ago. Today was my first venture out of the house post-surgery, cast and all. This USA Buck 303 Cadet was sitting in the workshop In need of a light cleaning, so I dropped it in the pocket of my Adidas pants on the way out the door.
It should be perfectly capable to do most jobs, but so light and small you don’t notice it in your pocket.
Sending healing vibes out to any of you fellas who’ve had better days. 😜
Hope you have a speedy recovery mate!👍👍
