The pics are taken in Rauðhólar, a rather large area that basically consists of a cluster of pseudo-craters. They are formed when molten lava flows over wetlands causing the water to boil. The pressure of the steam from the boiling water then causes explosions, which in turn creates these magnificent pseudo-craters. The bright crimson red colour you see, is caused or coloured by the oxidation of the iron in the lava.
Nice knife and amazing photos. Cool to hear the geology behind it too. 👍

It turned out to be a good day for shooting Bart.
The handle has has just enough texture to aid in the grip. This one takes a very nice edge as a bonus.
Sao lambsfoot again today.

Looks like you are finding your lamb to be a good companion. Love the color and flow of the handle and blade together.
