What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

  • Hematoma in her left ear (both ears used to be pointy but now they flop over)
  • Jaw surgery removing the tip of her jaw and the front row of teeth to eliminate a cancerous growth

Tyson A Wright Tyson A Wright - Floppy ears or not, Lacey is quite the gal and I can sure as heck relate to her jaw cancer surgery. Good on ya for taking such good care of her.

It’s great to keep Dad’s memory alive.

I wish I could relate. My Marlin lever action was inherited from my 5'3" 110 lb. mom. I know for a fact that she took at least one whitetail when I was about 5 years old. Now I'm left trying to picture her riding that bear!

Lacey has been through a lot in the last two and half years:
  • Knee surgery to fix her left knee
  • Hematoma in her right ear
  • Hematoma in her left ear (both ears used to be pointy but now they flop over)
  • Jaw surgery removing the tip of her jaw and the front row of teeth to eliminate a cancerous growth
  • Knee surgery to fix her right knee
  • And now it looks like the right knee surgery didn't quite work, so we're looking at a second operation (and a slight possibility that there will be a follow-up surgery to that follow-up surgery)
And yet she remains cheerful and seems to be having fun. She does need me to stop typing on this dumb phone, though - it's foodie time, Dad!

She is a gorgeous lady Tyson.
I hope she recovers to bring some comfort to her remaining years.

Poor thing, she looks like a sweetheart.

Here's to Lacey!!! 💖

Thanks for the well wishes, friends. I passed them along to Lacey in the form of a treat, which is her love language. (Her brother Whiskey got a treat too, and I assured him that lots of people like him, too.)

Cuenca view from the old town.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us! These scenes are so very cool!

I am lovin' that Boker!

That Possum Skinner is sweet! 😍

Pocketing my Late fathers EDC that he carried for many years. Little 525x Buck. I think he would have been happy to make todays trip with me, going to purchase a used Marlin 1894c carbine that I have had my eye on.

So awesome to have your dad's EDC. Hope your trip with it was memorable. I have an old Marlin 30-30 that was my dad's when he was a kid. My son wants a 1894 really bad -- let me know what you think lol!

Ah man it is so hard to see 'em facing struggles. Hope that the redo doesn't require a re-redo!! She's a beautiful friend. Reminds me of one of your old posts, something about one of them will cut you and the other will hug(?). haha

Shaky hands....blowing hard on shore again!!
