What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

For all the sleepless nights, tough financial times and rooms that look a bomb shell has gone off it passes by awful quick.

Our eldest just finished his first year of school. Doesn’t seem long ago I was nursing him to sleep in my arms.

Awful quick indeed. Our youngest is 33 and it seems like just yesterday he was a babe in arms. We will spend Christmas with our oldest, she has four boys, all of them teenagers. Where did the time go?

New arrivals Case Barlow and Razor today. Surely to be replaced later by my checkered Tennessee Vols SAK. GBO! 🍊

Both incredible! Tell us more about that lambsfoot?
I wish I had a backstory on its life. This one is “new” to me as of a few months ago. Bought it from a gentleman on the forums here from England.

Definitely pretty well loved and used in its past life, and has been sharpened a lot judging by the scars and uneven bevel on the blade.. I did clean it up a little and sharpened it, but blade is still pretty wonky as I didn’t want to take off more steel than I had to. Still a strong spring with a good snap, & pretty smooth. Makes a good user currently.

The other day paulhilborn paulhilborn posted his Northfield 73 in Stag and that got me into the mood for carrying mine again . But it needs some company so I have included my old TEW Lambfoot . Not about to get out today in the snow and take photos so I had to look into my Old Photos to find one that I have of the 2 together . Paul's 73 is the knife that really got me into really liking Stag .

Looks like I had been cracking Hickory Nuts back then so Nancy could make a Hickory Nut Pie back then .

Beautiful pic!

Those little guys seem to have their hands full! 😂

Robeson harness jack for Saturday........ around a hundred years old. 😊
Sorry .... no stag for Saturday. 🐀
Simply amazing! Such an amazing piece!

It's a bad day in Bedrock. Somehow have managed to throw my back out. The best chair in the house is the desk chair I'm sitting in. No pants today - just shorts and a pocket tee shirt. Carrying this Buck 055 in the tee shirt pocket. I hate it when this happens!!!!! Cindy feels sorry for me so she's cooking up biscuits and gravy with Jimmy Dean hot sausage.
I hate to hear that Ed. I hope you get plenty of rest & recover quick!

I’m back! It’s a rainy day here in the City by myself Bay. After having 6 inches of my colon removed and spending two weeks in the hospital and three more weeks at a nursing/rehabilitation center I’m finally home! It’s a long story so I won’t bore you all with the details. I’m just happy to be alive cause it was questionable before surgery. I was able to get one new knife during my recovery, a Case Copper Lock auto. Beautiful piece and fires and locks up like a champ! Hope everyone has been good health.View attachment 2740296View attachment 2740297
Glad to see you back! Glad the surgery went well!

Somehow I don't think my wife is going to let me keep the new ornament on the tree lol
You can always try moving it around on different days & see if she notices... Do you have any other knives with bails??? 😂

Beautiful knives, I once lived in a place called Hickory Grove, loaded with big trees. Sweet nuts but a lot of work for a little bit of meat.
