Fantastic winter pics, Dan. Looks like a very serene place to be.
Gracias Greg !
We love it !
Weekdays in the evenings is practically empty too so we like to go to be outdoors and recharge after work.

Your rink is bigger than the one on the Ottawa canal, that's if they still budget for that.
Yes, very sad what happened last year when the Rideau Skateway in Ottawa could not open the entire season for the first time it its many decades of history. They need at least 30 cm of ice I believe in order to safely open it.

The beauty of our forest trail is that the ice is much easier to keep and maintain as it is over ground. They flood it on most nights with water from nearby ponds.
These trails seem to be popping up all over Ontario and Quebec.
Our trail is a loop of almost 3 km.

I think I detected a Bigfoot track in the snow .................. be careful out there ! ;) 👍🤣🥶
Oh no !!!
Just when I was about to get over my Bigfoot PTSD from the big scare last year you have to trigger it again !

Why ?

Having ended the experiment and going back to my sinfull ways as an incurable knife knut, I have my daily rotation with me. In addition to my ever present Wenger SI in its belt pouch with the LED light, I have my old yellow peanut back in my right pocket. My classic is back on my keyring, and I feel like all is back as it should be. And in memory of my dear old Uncle Paul, I even tucked a very old Christy knife in my tobacco pouch, just in case.

What are you guys carrying today?
Today, my Emerson Horseman. I have numerous Benchmade knives, but this one enjoys finding its way to my pocket

I’m back! It’s a rainy day here in the City by myself Bay. After having 6 inches of my colon removed and spending two weeks in the hospital and three more weeks at a nursing/rehabilitation center I’m finally home! It’s a long story so I won’t bore you all with the details. I’m just happy to be alive cause it was questionable before surgery. I was able to get one new knife during my recovery, a Case Copper Lock auto. Beautiful piece and fires and locks up like a champ! Hope everyone has been good health.View attachment 2740296View attachment 2740297
Happy sailing going forward, just googled the case copperlock modifications and the video showed the blade opening when pushing on the case shield, is that the way yours work, some good stuff there.
