While I like the way other guy's dye jobs have turned out, they lose the most attractive part. The polished white bone where they tapered it down to mate up with the bolsters is the best looking part of it all. It sets off the dye in the middle.
Of course, lots disagree, which is fine.
You could dye the bone, then polish the ends back to white if your tastes are like mine.
Now there's an Electrician/Linesman I've never seen!
