Burnside those scales are excellent

Thanks Pete! I really like how in regular and low light the jigged bone appears dark brownish, but then in direct sunlight the colors become more vibrant like a copperhead bone.

A forum knife and one of Mikes SFOs...I think it has been a GREAT week for you.

Without a doubt! And that's not excluding the SFO 85 Real Harness Knife I recevied before last weekend! It's been kind of an epic past week actually :D

With the Improved 48s, SFO Diamond Jack 48s, and the Northwoods Norfolk around the corner, it's shaping up to be a great month! In fact, GEC is having am incredible year!!!

WooHoo! You got it - NICE! Very different look without the rear bolster and the lanyard hole. Great looking wood! Congrats :)

Thanks! I can't believe how much lighter it is without the bolster! So slim and lightweight, I can't even feel it in my pocket. I love the grain on this too. It's got kind of a Yin Yang feel to it with the contrasting browns and blacks.

Nice Gevonovich, what is the well used blade on the right shaped into? (-:

It's shaped into my fire steel striker;)

You have a real nice collection going on there!! Look at the patina happening on that Charlow!! I spy a slip sheath in the background?

Wow Burnside didn't know they even had the variation of the #85 - I like it! That's strange that it's not functional as-is though, how did that happen? That caplifter model is more useful than an awl in most cases. An EO notch thrown into that combo would have me going nuts :)

The 85 with the caplifter is the 2011 Traditional BladeFourms knife. They're very hard to come by these days. I've read that a lot of the 2011 BF knives came with caplifters without enough leverage to lift bottle caps properly. I've also read that it's an easy fix using a dremel or a small file.

EO notches are great! The 2011 BF Knife with the caplifter has an EO notch, so I assume you are referring to the Real Harness Knife with the awl, in which case, an EO notch would have me going nuts as well. :)
