What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today I felt in the mood for some change, so I put this in my pocket. It found nothing to cut, and I can't seem to warm up to it, but it is a beautiful knife nonetheless... :)

Fausto, that knife looks very cool to me. I used to have that knife, but in dark brown bone and somehow I never warmed up to it and passed it along, but the pearl on this looks very cool, I bet it looks even better in person!

I've been quite busy lately so I haven't been posting much, but seeing your name pop up gave me all the inspiration I needed. This is not what I'm carrying today, but it is what I carried with me while I was traveling in Russia and Ukraine for a month. This knife performed admirably slicing up cured meats and cheeses and bread, preparing a full meal using only ingredients grown in my grandma's garden, trimming some bark of a birch tree for kindling and of course as a very handy mushroom knife when we went mushroom hunting in the forest. I really warmed up to it during the trip, it held a great edge and the grind is so thin it cut just fine even after losing it's shaving edge. The stainless blade meant that I never had to worry about any corrosion issues for the whole trip and its so slim that never knew it was there until I needed it...a really fine knife in my opinion.

I love those black box winchesters. Still kicking myself for passing on a coffin jack I saw on the exchange a while back. Pearl covers suits it. I'll have to hunt one down.

Confucius- nice shot and amazing haul. Russians are in the habit of eating mushrooms considered inedible here. I understand they parboil them to destroy the toxins. A hardy people!
