What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Felt nostalgic, so I pocketed my 2015 micarta 77 Barlow, one of my most carried knives. I don’t really do much carbon steel anymore, due to rust issues, but I still like to carry a small handful of GEC’s. This is the GEC that I probably love most. Best fit and finish of any traditional I’ve ever held.

I gave it a quick sharpening on an India stone last night, and was honestly surprised. I’d forgotten how good an edge these carbon steel blades can take, and how easy it was to get it there. Hell of a knife.

The fog is thick today here in the City by the Bay 🌫️! And it’s colder than a Well Digger’s butt! After over forty years in the City I still can’t get over turning on the furnace in July but it beats the alternative. In the meantime keeping me company with a nod to Wooden Wednesday the usual lamb and my new Opinel. Have a great day folks! 😀

I carried this GE 54 Jack and Wenger Handyman the last couple of days in Colorado, and on the two day drive home. The SAK got used to dig a thorn out of the sole of someone's sandal, cut hang tags, and open canned food.
