What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My 50th is next month, but I've decided not to go. Our daughter would not enjoy it, we'll have a three month old GSD puppy at home, and I don't feel like spending 2 or 3 hundred$ to have to listen to the same group of drunks over by the bar. And two of my buds are no longer with us.
But sure hope your smarter half has a fine time!

I learned how to drive a stick shift in Dad's Corvair. I also learned what oversteer is, and how far barbed wire will stretch without breaking.
Great car.

During all of our weekly visits, we purposely did not think about that knowing that having third pick of the five boys, two would be taken when our choice came up.
And it turned out perfect. After the temperament evaluations, which took over two hours for all of them, the two chosen before us were not ones we'd have preferred.
The owner/breeder had watched during our visits, and pointed out the one she thought would be the calmest and maybe the best choice considering our daughter. In the end, we thought hard over our two favorites, and ended up choosing the one she'd suggested. This is the guy who'd climbed into Andie's lap and fallen asleep.

Mr. Watson, hand me your revolver.
Super cute pup, Jeff. I bet he will bring a ton of joy and amusement to you and your family.

Queen called it a, "Dogleg Jack".

I dug up old catalogs from Schrade and Camillus, and concluded that the maker is entitled to call their patterns whatever they want. Schrade called everything on that pattern a Serpentine Jack ~ single clip 194, clip and pen 294, Trappers 293 and 94, they called them all Serpentine Jacks. And Camillus called the loop on their TL-29s, Camp Knives, No.1 Hawkbills, and other utility knives a Shackle instead of Bail.
So if Queen says it's a Dogleg Jack, then that's what it is.😎
I love the way that pattern feels in my hand.
Great bone.
Or as they say on HGTV, great bones.

Looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day here in the City by the Bay! Got some good rain overnight but the forecast is for clearing up today. Not much on the agenda for the day. Might bake some savory scones later. In the meantime keeping me company with a nod to Black Friday the usual lamb and SAK Executive. Have a great day folks! 😀
