What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Miscellaneous Knife of the Week is a Camillus 21 peanut (thanks, Mike):

Lambsfoot of the Week is new-to-me; I won in it a month ago in one of Bob's Rufus1949 Rufus1949 legendary and generous estimation game GAWs in the Guardians thread, and only won because @Tyson A Wright submitted a winning estimate on my behalf! It's a smooth white bone shadow pattern built in Italy by Cosimo De Benedetto. I name all my lambsfoot knives, and decided on the official name CDB BF Agnello Ombra Bianca, where CDB are the initials of the cutler, BF are the initials of where I got the knife and from whom I received it, and Agnello Ombra Bianca is Italian for White Shadow Lamb (according to a Google translator). In everyday life, the knife's nickname is simply White Shadow. (Do you remember two old TV shows containing that name?) Grazie molto, Bob and Tyson!

I do remember the show, with Ken Howard.
Something about an inner city basketball coach.🤔

This begs the question, if I carried it every day, would it make every day feel special, or would the knife eventually feel less special, due to its familiarity?
"Yes"?

Back when I "only had one" (of the three I carried daily in my pocket, clipped to a belt loop, and on my belt) each one made the day feel "special".
The familiarity (which was not a "bad" thing) just led to confidence they could be trusted for the task at hand, not make them feel less "special" or make me "think" I would be better off with something else.

Admittedly, I didn't get my first SAK, a Huntsman, until 2001 ... and it has pretty much retired my 4 blade Scout/Camp and Demo knives. The scissors, package hook, wood/bone saw, and toothpick are just so daRn handy.
I do prefer the Scout/Camp/Utility/Engineers/Demo knife's can opener, so I generally kept one in my backpack, fanny pack, or haversack/possibles bag when afield.

Thanks, Jeff. It is mint indeed. It was a tough decision whether to carry it or not but I concluded that I’m better off enjoying it myself than letting somebody else have all the fun. 😊
Yes. There a few favorite patterns with multiples in my cigar boxes. Some were never used, since I usually take the users. But why?
So someone else can be the first to put a real edge and patina on it?
I’m further up, in Newcomb. The weather has been spectacular. Just a bit past peak here, but that probably means you should hit peak foliage in Lake George.

Every time I carry this knife, it feels like a special treat. This begs the question, if I carried it every day, would it make every day feel special, or would the knife eventually feel less special, due to its familiarity?

I vote for familiarity in a lot of things, especially knives.
Which begs the question, why do I have a drawer full? 🤪
