Worked all day and drove an hour and a half to get home. At least I beat the rain. This was in my screen door from the USPS. I didn’t think it would be here until Monday. Hoping it’ll find a place in the rotation like the previous example I had and lost. I look forward to breaking this guy in and setting some patina. My very humble accumulation seems a bit more complete with another back in the mix. Hoping it is half the knife the other one was.

These pictures are from a few days ago but I’m carrying this Rough Ryder Large Scout again today.

I made my first ever attempt at peening a new pin after removing the bail. It’s a far cry from professional work but it’s holding so far and the pin doesn’t move in or out. I did learn a thing or two about how to do it better the next time.

Better to practice on a Rough Rider than on a Camillus or Utica. Looks like good work to me!
