you're right, they are indispensible. What I need is a soldering iron station to park the iron in. Or a third hand.
I should make one with a spring holder for a heat sink.
Or not do it at the dining room table. But when the wife's away...
I have cured baking laquer in the kitchen oven, and parkerized small parts on the stove top, so there's that.

I bought that exact TEW. But because it had a broken scale that was swinging on it's pin. I wanted to put walnut on it. And it was cheap!

Raining here this morning. Lucky thing that we got the last of the weed whacking done yesterday. The only thing I've got to do today is relax in my recliner chair and make short trips back and forth to the kitchen for snacks. I've got a Sowbelly in my pocket but I'll also be carrying my latest Crossroads mostly for chicken eyeing and coon fingering. Sausage and ???? for breakfast.
