Waiting on my wife’s car to get inspected. Poor focus on the Osage Dixie Stockman but I inadvertently caught a cool USA flag reflection in the bolsters. 🇺🇸🪵🐄View attachment 3063675View attachment 3063676
USA! USA! USA! 🇺🇸 Great knife you have there Dave, Happy New Year!

My daughter, her boyfriend and I took a little drive up to Mt. Rainier and did some hiking on the packed down trails in the snow. This may look like a lot of snow but some of these big trees should be completely covered by now.

Sounds like quality time and great pics. Happy New Year!

One of the best Dixies, a great example. It's already '26 here plus 43 mins :) Greetings to all who post and read here 😍

Thanks, Will
Happy New Year Will! 🍾

Starting the "new" year with my classic 6375CV Case stockman in my pocket.

Western 062 Folding Hunter in original sheath remains on my belt.

Naturally, a VIC Huntsman (with PLUS scales) is clipped to a belt loop.

The Toferner is still hanging from neck in the modified OEM sheath. (I added the flap.)

Merry New Year. 😇👍

I have owned this knife since 1972 way over 50 years since when I was a kid.

A German U boat commander gave it to my mother who gave it to me,I have no idea how long he had it or if he used it in WW2.

It’s massive but at the time was legal EDC in England, like most boys I carried a knife to school.

Particularly in Whitby Yorkshire were we ran around the hills and monastery (Dracula),fished of the pier and other outdoorsy stuff.

I chipped the blade as a kid as I had no idea how to handle a knife,we just used them it was a tool.

The brass still shines bright with a polish, lock up is rock solid, the wood and rivets are also solid.

A testament to build quality in the hands of a nieve kid like me. 😎

This morning after sharing the poem below I thought hang on is this true I’ve never tried it?

So I thought this one has a broad blade and I’ve not taken it out in a while let’s try.

I only had runny honey (this one’s delicious) but it did the job well.

I didn’t eat them though as I value my tongue,maybe OK on a butter knife.🤔 😄

WARNING DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME 😂

I eat my peas with honey
I’ve done it all my life
It makes the peas taste funny
But it keeps them on the knife
