What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I was carrying this one today but really should not be. This is a "missionary' knife. Buck takes it's seconds and grinds a notch in the bolster(right end), so they don't have commerical value to be resold, or shouldn't be anyway. Then they ship them out to missionaries out in the field of poor countries where the people are so poor they can't afford a knife to eek out a living with.

That is very cool- I've never heard about that before.

Makes me want to go out and get me another Buck.

I decided to carry a GEC Sunfish today. Have to tighten the belt an extra notch when I'm toting this thing around. :o

OK, so the Case Copperlock is a 'made up' style but it's based on some real knife styles. This one is a Stag Copperlock and it is in my pocket everyday.

I carry a Case Trapper and either a gerber ez out or a Remington AO . The Trapper is for skinning but the other two get used for everything from opening boxes to cutting thin aluminum out of the dies where I work.

I don't get it. The Copperlock's not a real knife? Yours looks mighty fine, btw.
what, mnblade, you didn't know? The Copperlock isn't a REAL knife. It's actually chocolate wrapped to LOOK like a knife. Duh, every Copperlock owner knows this!! LOL.
Actually, I think he meant that it is not a "traditional" knife.
Tradition = longevity.
Copperlock = modern design.
This being a "traditional" knife thread, I think he wasn't sure if it belonged.
It's traditional enough for us, though!!

An older CV Case Trapper(old red bone) at the moment, but thats about to change. Now I remember why I quit carrying this heavy thing 20 years ago:p Back to the mini Trapper for the rest of day!

I've been carrying two traditional, and one not so traditional this week...Christmas Trapper (for the season), Case CV Canoe (for EDC), Spyderco Cricket (for quick, one-handed use).

Today I carry my brand new case minitrapper CV and Shestnut. I will try it for a while and after that you can expect some summing up on my thoughts about it. First feeling is good.

That sounds pretty good. Actually a friend and me are going to sit around watching a good old Scrooge movie tonight. Each of us with a knife, block of cheese, and a nice big beef stick.:)
