What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Todays Carry is one that I seldom carry , but is one that I really like and was very surprised to find a few years back at the Badger Blade Show .
An authentic Cripple Creek Split Back Whittler made in 1986 .

You can post Stag on any day that ends with a " Y "

I believe that stag whittler found the perfect with you Harry. Sweet knife!
I'm looking forward with meeting up with you and the others later this month at the Badger Knife Show. Got my truck in tip top shape I believe so I won't have any issues like I did last year enroute to the show.

Spring has sprung around here.

I finally got around to waxing and sharpening this old John S. Holler. (1867-1906) It's a little beat up, but it sure gets sharp!

Fantastic vintage knife! I'm partial to sleeveboard pattern knives so that one really caught my eye while scrolling these pages. Well proportioned taper on the handle shape to my eyes, perfect form.

Thank you, I agree about the handle shape. Not only that, but being a split back whittler, the handle has a distal taper!

A couple of spring-colored Rough Riders are my Canoes of the Week. The weather guy on TV this morning said March 1 is the start of "meteorological spring" but it's just a coincidence that these two canoes happen to be up for carry this week.
A sunny yellow synthetic carbon steel RR canoe:

A green-as-spring-grass Stroke of Luck canoe (that I ought to bring out again in a couple of weeks for St. Patrick's Day):

I isn't the only one here with those two canoes! 😁👍

With-in reach in Rollator's tote/shopping/tool bag. (nylon sheath wire-tied vertical under flap.) Long term carry, been there for 2 years and counting. No plans to change it this year.

A set of long term carry. I will likely have these two on me the remainder of 2026 ... if not until after i R put in the box for planting.

Of course the Toferner is another long term carry, that will go with me when I get put in the box.
I've had it on me pretty much daily coming up on five years now.
