What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I just switched out the Japanese sheepfoot Barlow for my new Case Sodbuster Jr. from cchu's generous GAW. (Still babying the Boker; it's cut nothing but arm hair and paper yet.)

I would rather have the Camillus on account of the flat grind. More belly to the blade too and imo more belly is more good.

Agree on both counts, which is one of the reasons I've been slow to get a 505. I like the 500-series — and have a 500 and 501 — yet a 503 is out of the question given that I have a Schrade (US) 5OT, which is about the same size. And all else being equal, I find I lean more toward brass-bolstered lockbacks than nickel-silver anyway.

This is a nice little knife, but it is small: blade's just 2.25 inches. Camillus used at least two different frame styles for the #2; the other has a more pointed butt-end than this guy.

Today, a small Case Tuxedo, pretty cool and very sharp small knife, used her to dig up some foam for packaging a knife for shipment, very handy to carve the foam with!

and of course the ever present Sinn 656 watch, had that for a long time now as well, love it's simplistic and easy to read face, in either day or night...

Good looking Boker there, I love the spear and the Ebony. Looks like a cherished user.

Thank you! It's one of my favs and has been carried and used a lot. It almost exactly fits my idea of a perfect traditional pocket knife pattern. I believe the scales are delrin but have been "carried" just enough that they look ebony in that pic. :D

Mmmm. Hemingway! I don't light up often but when i do it's a Short Story.

Arturo Fuente's are all very good IMO...my finances of late have reduced me to Dominican made combo filler sticks..which I trim with a traditional Opinel knife. (back on topic at the end) :D
