What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I really love the handle shape and blade profile on this knife Thom! Now what is that piece of iron it's resting against?

Thanks Duane. I might have done a bad thing....

Oh, that's a candle holder by the way. It casts some great shapes.

The usual "Nut" with the Garonnais on KP today...

Vive la France!

Agreed. I am really starting to like how that slim spear looks on the cigar frame. Very elegant.

The picture does not quite convey how big this brute really is at 4 1/4 in. I thank you and your honey is getting quite the patina!!

Thom, that knife is absolutely gorgeous. I like it better every time I see it. That shot really captures it.

Very nice Sam, certainly green with envy :)

How are you liking it for use?

Thanks Jeff, the Frontier Bone versions you've posted look pretty fine too:)

It's a joy of a knife to use, comfy in all positions with a medium pull and real smooth walk and talk. The only thing which you may find takes a bit of getting used to is the longer wharncliffe than say the Dog's Tooth but it soon feels pretty natural:)

Thanks Jeff and Sam!!

How's the linen micarta holding up? I've got a GEC #42 on order with that cover.

Beautiful photograph.

Which I was so very lucky to win in Duncan's GAW. Makes me smile when I see you enjoying it, thinking about the miles it has traveled.

This pair from 2013 Blade will take care of my knife needs today. Use the desk knife probably more than any other.

Wow, what a pair. I'm guessing you enjoyed Blade quite a bit.

Been in my pocket since it arrived...

I can see why, that's beautiful.

Are these knives used at all or show pieces? They look brand new and never used.

I wanted a lockback whittler but couldn't really afford one so I made one for myself,or at least something that vaguely resembles a proper one!

4 1/4 is a great size for such a knife

I am very pleased with the 55. Just going to be fun deciding if the 47 fits my needs more or less ;)

I have already had the pleasure of handling a viper. It makes me even more eager to get my own in the mail. I know I like the longer handle but the upsweep on the swayback does feel different in hand. I know my hayn helper is an entire delrin scale thicker then the viper. My hand was very pleased with the thinner feel of the viper. I am lookimg forward to putting one through the paces :)

I know I will regret not picking up a micarta down the road. You got one of the great ones Sam, enjoy :)
