Long tiring day, but having this Fontenille-Pataud lockback Laguiole in Ram's Horn provided solace

Felt like working on a patina today (well, since Sunday) and switched to my #53 Cuban Pen. Here it is when it was new. The patina has already started but not complete yet, you can still see the etch (no pic yet).

Nice Trand

I just switched to this modified #73 jack. I drop-pointed the spey main, and I'm thinking about grinding the pen into a coping.

I did Trand and thanks. If you look close, the blade still has just a tiny bit of upsweep at the end. I don't want to make it any shorter and I don't want to grind it all the way flat yet and lose some life. I am happy with it and over a few more sharpening's I think it will be a perfectly straight blade. Used it tonight to cut up my bangers to add with my mash, makes a great food knife in my opinion!

Nice Jeff. I would love to see that mod. The 73 jacks look good but having a coping or sheepsfoot secondary would make them great!
